2 Days South Luangwa NP Experience in Malawi country.

Stay at Msandile River Lodge’s beautiful eco-friendly tented safari camp, located on the banks of the Luangwa River and overlooking a busy wildlife crossing point. The park contains over 100 species of mammals, including lions, leopards, buffalos, Thornicroft giraffes, Cookson wildebeests, zebras, elephants and hippos. Experience an untouched wilderness, extensive wildlife as well as stunning birdlife, and capture the true feeling of Africa.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure 08:00 AM

In the morning, depart from Lilongwe towards the Luangwa Valley in Zambia with lunch en route. Arrive at the Msandile River Lodge and spend time acclimatizing to the African bush. The standard safari tents are overlooking the Luangwa River close to an elephant’s crossing point and are standing under a roof cover that provides extra shade. In addition to offering a breathtaking view over the river, every tent
is fitted with two single beds with crisp linen and bedding, a large box-shaped mosquito net, a small cupboard, a fan, and two comfortable chairs. On the Msandile River Lodge’s property, you can find a pool, the main lounge area, a restaurant, and a bar. After the welcome snack, you will go on a late afternoon/night game drive. This is a unique way to view the nocturnal activity of the park. After the drive, enjoy dinner at the Msandile River Lodge restaurant while listening to the sounds of the great outdoors. Relax over a drink before retiring for the evening.

Day 2 – Departure 11:00 AM from Msandile River Lodge

Start the day with a pre-game drive breakfast at the Msandile River Lodge restaurant, followed by an early morning game drive with one of our experienced guides. Enjoy the sights of the national park before returning to the lodge. The departure time to Lilongwe is 11:00 AM. Stop on the way at the Tribal Textile Workshop for about 30 minutes to see the beautiful fabrics that are made by the local craftsmen and artists, get lunch en route. Arrive back in Lilongwe in the late afternoon.

*Visas: For most nationalities, a Zambian and or Malawian visa can be arranged at the border for 50 USD (Zambia) and 75 USD
(Malawi). Please be advised that at the Zambian and Malawian border only cash USD are accepted. For some nationalities, a visa
cannot be obtained at the border but needs to be arranged in advance.
